Trainee/Junior Electrical Engineer

We are excited to be expanding our Engineering team and are looking to recruit for a `Trainee Electrical Engineer' within Acrastyle in Ulverston, Cumbria.

Acrastyle is an engineering resource-rich company which designs, manufactures, tests, installs, commissions and maintains high-voltage sub-station protection and control equipment.

We are a market leader in Power System Protection solutions with our own manufactured products, and we provide a comprehensive range of essential engineering services.

Job Summary

The Trainee Electrical Engineer will become responsible for the Electrical design of Acrastyle’s customer orders.

You will be provided with Full training which could include approved apprenticeships with local providers depending on previous experience (if any). You will be working in a busy Engineering Department that is rich in experience and expertise.

Role to include
  • Produce As Manufactured Drawings, from the Specifications, General Arrangements, Equipment Schedules, Wiring Diagrams and occasionally the Schematic Drawings.
  • To produce Work Orders for Production.
  • To Complete the Drawing Register prior to jobs being issued to Production.
  • Create Drawing packs prior to Electrical Wiring Diagram Checks.
  • Assisting Electrical Engineers with Wiring Diagram Checks
Responsibilities

Required to work in the Electrical Engineering Department under the supervision of the Lead Electrical Engineer and the Engineering team.

Will be expected to liaise with shop floor personnel.

Assist where necessary with the administration and creation of Drawings Prior to checking.

Qualifications and skills
